Projects and collaborations
 José Carlos Gómez is currently enjoying the success of his latest album, which also includes narrations of his experiences with Paco de Lucía. This album, Las huellas de Dios, has been recognised as one of the best albums of all styles of 2023 by the critics of the newspaper El País.

Awards and nominations

• 1989 - First Prize in the "Ramón de Algeciras" Guitar Competition.
• 2016 - "Origen" receives critical acclaim as one of the best flamenco guitar albums of recent years.
• 2023 - "Las huellas de Dios" recognised by the critics of El País as one of the 50 best albums of the year in all styles.
