Projects and collaborations
He has been part of the band of Chucho Valdés, one of Cuba's most influential musicians, with whom he has explored Latin jazz and improvised music. He has also collaborated with Paquito D'Rivera, the outstanding Cuban saxophonist, participating in projects that fuse traditional jazz and Latin jazz. His talent has also led him to work with Arturo Sandoval, another great Cuban trumpet player, with whom he has shared stages in projects that combine the virtuosity of jazz with the energy of Cuban music. He has also been part of productions with Issac Delgado, where he has combined his style with Cuban salsa, and has collaborated with the multifaceted Bobby Carcassés, a musician known for his experimental approach. Sarduy also appears in the renowned documentary Calle 54, which celebrates the best of Latin American musicians, and has worked with the band Los Van Van, one of Cuba's most iconic salsa groups. His participation in these and other projects has cemented his reputation as one of the most outstanding trumpet players in contemporary Cuban and Latin music.
