Janis Siegel the first singer of ¨The Manhattan Transfer¨ and Rovanio Assis known with Nanny Assis will be present at UNIVERSIJAZZ in Valladolid to present their work dedicated to Brazil.
Janis Siegel, a lover of Brazilian music since 1987 when she won a Grammy for her excellent collaboration with several Brazilian artists on the album ¨BRAZIL¨, is also a composer, arranger and has written lyrics for several songs performed by the fantastic band.
Janis is more than just an excellent jazz vocalist. She is a complete musician who will provide the audience with a fantastic repertoire of Brazilian music and American classics.
Nanny Asiss has just released his album ¨Rovanio¨ in which he has collaborations with excellent musicians such as Randy Brecker or Ron Carter among others who are fascinated by the Bahiano musician and always contemplate him as a reference of Brazilian music in the Big Apple.
The quartet is completed by Miguel Núñez, the great Cuban pianist who was the musical director of Pablo Milanés, and bassist Ernesto Hermida.
