Daniel Noel Martínez Izquierdo, better known as Dany Noel, is a virtuoso Cuban bassist and artist. At the age of 10 he began playing bass and double bass with many Cuban orchestras and artists of national and international prestige. He has extensive experience in Latin jazz and flamenco.
He also explores the sonority of Bolero, Cha, chá, Cuban Son and other rhythms of his native island. In 2004, together with the renowned drummer Horacio "El Negro" Hernández, he founded ITALUBA, a quartet of which he is bassist, composer and arranger. His album ITALUBA 1 received a Grammy nomination in the same year for best album in the Latin jazz category.
His settlement in Spain has made him known flamenco music, collaborating with countless artists of this genre who have given him a preponderant role in this Spanish music.
